insist on yourself, never imitate. your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation. many small endeavors produce one great experience; but of the adopted talent of another, you have only an extemporaneous, half-possession. that which each can do best, none but nature can teach him. no man yet knows, what it is, nor can, till that person has exhibited it.
where is the master who could have taught leonardo, where is the master who could have instructed plato, or socrates or aristotle or emerson. do that which is assigned you and you cannot hope too much or dare too much. every genius transcended because his work metamorphoses into an obsession. he becomes what he writes.
i reminisce tonight on those lovely times we had. i always thought we were poles apart; never knowing we would grow to be one. we labored for centuries feeding off each other’s strength. you taught me to never give up and to focus solely on what i have given my heart to do. darling now i know, nor family, nor friend, nor home, is worth this golden star. all things must be laid down and only what is true will be upright; when it comes to love there is only one. she grabs your heart for all of time.
i’ll keep moving my legs on this bike, you taught me that lukewarmness will never reap love, honey i gave my life to be with you. it cost me a lot, my freedom my time; they say time is money but really its not if we ever go broke, honey you can’t pay that back. i chose to know me and the deeper i dwelt within i found you.
no amount of money can compensate the value of experience. money is a means through which we use to attain meaningful experiences. i finally understand why people settle in towns and cities choosing the conservative life, it is because they do not change within but go their whole lives seeking to make a change from the outside in, which goes completely against the human constitution. as the body settles so will the mind also remain stagnant. for one to learn one needs to move. the more conservative we are the less joy we will find. you need to take risks to succeed. whoever gives up most will receive the greatest prize.
